Organic Elderberry Elixir DIY Kit

Ingredients include a proprietary blend of over 11 organic supporting herbs and spices, including Elderberries, Turmeric, Ginger and more. 

Directions for preparation:

Instant Pot Method: 

1. Place contents of bag into instant pot

2. Add 3 cups of water 

3. (optional) add splash of vanilla extract

4. (optional) add half of lemon and orange into pot

5. Shut lid and set time to 7 min on instant pot, making sure valve is set to sealing 

6. When done cooking, release valve for instant release 

7. Strain liquid from plant material, making sure to get as much of it out as possible

8. Let syrup cool a bit before adding honey, one cup or more (do not add honey if using for children under 1) add honey to desired sweetness (I like mine SWEET and my syrup THICK)

9. Pour into glass container with lid 

10. Refrigerate up to 3 months; freeze up to 6 months 

Stove Top Method:

1. Place contents of bag into sauce pan

2. Add 3 cups of water 

3. (optional) add splash of vanilla extract

4. (optional) add half of lemon and orange into pot

5. Bring to a boil

6. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 40-45 min (when liquid has reduced by half)

7. Strain liquid from plant material, making sure to get as much of it out as possible

8. Let syrup cool a bit before adding honey, one cup or more (do not add honey if using for children under 1) add honey to desired sweetness (I like mine SWEET and my syrup THICK)

9. Pour into glass container with lid

10. Refrigerate up to 3 months; freeze up to 6 months
